Many tourist attractions and activities are easily accessible from your Yokum's Vacationland headquarters. The Seneca Rocks Discovery Center, operated by the US Forest Service, offers interpretative and interactive displays on the history and ecology of the area.

The Discovery Center is just a few minutes away and is open seasonally. Yokum's Vacationland is located on a 1,000 acre cattle farm along the banks of the North Fork of the South Branch of the Potomac River, which originally included within its bounds, the iconic Seneca Rocks, a climbing Mecca and centerpiece of the Spruce Knob-Seneca Rocks National Recreation Area.

Also close by is Yokum's Stables, featuring trail rides to the top of Seneca Rocks. Within easy driving distance are many other attractions including Spruce Knob (the highest point in West Virginia), Seneca Caverns, Smoke Hole Caverns, West Virginia State Parks at Canaan Valley and Blackwater Falls, Monongahela National Forest hiking trails with scenic overlooks, along with seasonal festivals and events celebrating the history and culture of the area.
